‘Cross-Media’ is a new, digital media concept developed by Chosun. It represents Chosun’s deep philosophy that the news must reach readers using the entire spectrum of today’s media formats: print, broadcast, Internet and more. For example, [On the Border], a path-breaking news program that chronicled North Korean refugees’ plights in China, has been distributed via various global media channels and formats, including the BBC (UK), TBS (Japan), ARD (Germany), and PBS (United States).
[Our Asia], another ‘Cross-Media’ project of Chosun, told the very real and moving stories of Asia's poorest children. One of the goals for [Our Asia] producers was to call attention to these poor communities' economic challenges among more affluent Asian countries. [Korea’s New Military Power], which delved into Korea’s cutting-edge military weaponry, as well as its strengths and stories of everyday soldiers, also drew significant interest and attention from the rest of the world; the program was broadcast by TBS of Japan and ARTE of France. |
